Promoting your Business with Web Video
The number of businesses that utilise their online and offline marketing strategies to maximum impact in combination is very low. Once a business employs online video alongside their existing (offline) marketing there is a real opportunity to 'double up' on effective and impactful communication with your customers.
Say, for example, you own a beauty products business and are looking to break into a particular market - mature ladies that want to look younger/glamorous. When your local customers come in to your store its a simple process to show them the corrrect way to apply the make up, and then hopefully sell the products. But what about those customers that don't live nearby, and as a result may not get to see how your products could help them? An online video demonstrating how to apply it would be the perfect solution. Your mailings and offline marketing activity to potential clients could include a 'call to action' inviting them to visit your website where they could see a step by step instruction video, where the customer gets to actually see the benefits of your products in the flesh, so to speak.
And vice versa - the online video could also demo a new product line that you have already communicated through your other offline marketing activity and reinforce the mailing/ad campaign you already have in place.
Its the most simple and possible most effective way of using video on your website - to fully integrate it into your entire marketing campaign. But have a look at your competitors and you'll be amazed how many of them haven't twigged on just yet....
